1st Bass Master Fisherwoman

Just an update as to where things are in our crazy, hectic, every which ways lives (which by the way sounds like a country song and I didn't even mean to do that).

We are, as certain as can be, having another wonderful little girl. She or Becca will be the first Bass Master Fisherwoman according to their father, and personally, I wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm terribly excited to see what this little bean will look like. How she will resemble Becca and in what ways she will be her own little person.

Names, well lets just not go there right now. Someone, and I'm not naming names, but the other half of this equation told me he picked Becca's name and I could pick this one. Silly me thought that meant he wouldn't have an opinion. WRONG on that one! He knows what he doesn't like ladies and gents. And so I'm left looking through class rosters and reading the names that are printed on all those cute baskets in the Pottery Barn Kids Catalogue, hoping to find the one that jumps out and says, PICK ME! I'll let ya know how that goes. In the mean time, I'm learning the names of many of the children on campus, and I've ordered several cute necessities from PBK! So all is not wasted you could say.

Becca continues to crack me up! She is such a funny kid. She loves to wear Dad's hats, as evident below. Oh, and she likes to put things on her head and over her face.???? Don't ask, she just does, and then she walks around like a zombie, running into things and laughing about it! HILARIOUS!

She is growing up to fast though. She attended her first little birthday party, and looked like such a big girl, sitting at the table with everyone else. Man, she sure ate that up!

And one priceless evening, she let her Aunt Alicia dress her up in anything we could get our hands on, and then proceeded to play like that until it was time for bed. What a sport. She just let Alicia do it. Again, Hiliaruim ensued. It was one of Becca's finer moments of comedy.

The Dress Up!
Wearing Dad's Hat
Just lookin cute outside.
Bucket on her head.
At the Birthday Party.
So things are right with the world for today. It's now off to bed for a little light reading. Oh yeah, and some SLEEP!

We got the first season on DVD, and we haven't been able to stop watching it. It is now my mission in life to pass this gift on to someone else, so that they will be able to experience the edge of your seat excitement that it is!

Go buy or rent the first season and watch it all. Then, you can start watching season 2 which airs on Tuesday nights, channel 8, at 10pm. But, you have to watch the first season before you try and jump into it, there is just to much good stuff that you've missed.

Also, those of us who are die hard's would like to see the show saved from cancellation. The Network has threatened to cancel the show, even though it has higher ratings than any other new show on TV right now. Their CRAZY NUTS I tell ya!

So check it out and let me know what you think. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/

Just a little Saturday Night Fun.

I've been inspired to TAG some of my blog buddies. This Chirstmas, my great friend Sage gave the neatest gift to all her girlfriends. She came up with a list of her Favorite Things, much like Oprah does every year, and then wrapped them up in fun little red buckets. So, with that in mind, what are your "Favorite Things?"

Mine include the following:

1. Bare Minerals Makeup - I can't remember the last time I had a pimple. This makeup is so great, it leaves your skin glowing but not all clogged up with makeup!!! Go to Nordstroms.com to check it out!

2. The Blue Mug coffee house in old Escondido. I go there on Saturday mornings with Leash and Geno and I always order the Sweet Italian Roast. It's so good!!!!

3. Infusiom moistur:ology shampoo and conditioner. It smells good and leaves your hair so SOFT!

4. Garage sales. I love having them. It makes cleaning out my closet so much fun and easy to do because I could get enough $$ for new shoes or a new purse!!!!

5. Sale rack at Old Navy. Lately, this sale rack has been rocking! Not just for me, but for Becca too!

6. Any 100 Calorie Pack. They come in so many flavors and I love the portion control. Plus, Becca likes them too!

7. Carmex in the squeeze tube. Even after all these years, nothing says lovin to my chaped lips than the sting of carmex!

8. Certs breath mints. They come in one big bag and each one is individually wraped. They are addictive, but so good.

9. Jhonsons baby lotion in the pink bottle.

10. Pioneer Woman Cooks website. Her stuff is soooo dang good!

TAG! Your it, anyone who reads this!

Tagged from Brie, Okay, I get the hint!

10 Random thoughts from yours truly!

1. I love the feeling of my little baby spontaneously fluttering in my tummy. I get so busy in the day that I forget that i'm a new mommy to be. My new little peanut doesn't let me to forget and I love that.

2. I miss my mother in law ALOT! More than I ever thought I would. She really would have loved Becca and visa versa.

3. I finally like my job. I would love to be a mommy full time, but, working at TCA with friends that are like family is the next best thing.

4. After 4 years of living within walking distance of Lourdes Mexican Restaurant, I have finally given the chicken soup my attention and guess what?, it really is the best soup in the world!

5. I hate Clowns!

6. I adore my little sister. She is my more sophisticated side, the person that I would want to be if I wasn't such a jeans and boots kinda gal.

7. Being a Mom is harder than I thought it would be. It's very rewarding and very scary at the same time. I think it must have to do with the amount of LOVE you have for that little human bean. You really would want to give your life for them if you had too.

8. I'm addicted to yummy ripe oranges right now. I could eat them till the citric acid makes my mouth raw.

9. I love the ribbons that Sage gave me for Christmas. I love matching them to my outfits and it's made wearing a pony tail much more fun!

10. I love my pink sands liquid lip gloss from origins. It's the perfect color and it has a minty flavor on your lips.

Where does the time go?

I have not forgotten you blog. I am sorry I have been alouf. Started a new job and got ready for penuts 1st Birthday!!! It was a super weekend, very busy but we had FUN!

Love the new job. I actually look forward to heading out the door to work. What a concept!

Stay Tuned for pictures with narative to see what you have missed in the last 2 weeks. I will post them TONIGHT!!!!

My News Years List.

We made it to 2008! I have to say, things are quite different being a parent of a little one. Staying up till midnight just wasn't in the picture. We tired, really we did, but at the stroke of Ten, we were done. Maybe next year will be a little more memorable. Happy New Year to everyone as another one bites the dust.

January one also slapped me in the face with many many things that I need to accomplish in the next 2 weeks. Most importantly, the big First Birthday for Becca. Not that Im going to the extent of a Jumpie or petting zoo, but still, these things take careful planning and thought. She only turns 1 once, and every year thereafter I must try to out do myself from the previous year, so I can't set the bar to high, but it still needs to be special. Oh the agony!!!! What is enough, but not too much? And then the guest list. Who really wants to come? Do my friends that don't have kids want to come? Do my parents friends want to come? These are delicate situations that must be taken seriously as we do not want to offend in any way! Do you understand my delima? It's just a babies Birthday.

Then there is the New Years Resolution. Do I go with somethings obvious and cliche like losing weight or getting organized? I think not. Losing weight is a no brainer, hello! And getting organized is a very lose concept in my house. I know where things are, for the most part, they just aren't always in logical places and I don't see that ever changing as much as I would like it too. So, I think I will make it something fun. I want to get together with friends at least once a month and work on something creative like a scrap project. I have millions of them floating in my head, just never the time to accomplish one. So thats like 12 times a year, should be doable. I'll keep ya posted.

In other news, it's my third to my last full day at my old job. I think my boss is in denial, but I expected that. Next week I will start my new job at Classical Academy. YEAH! I will get to see great people everyday like Laura, Sage and Andee. It will be so refreshing.

So, have a happy Wednesday. Also, my friend Heidi let the cat out of the bag. She is letting everyone at home know about her blog, finally, after a year of posting. Go visit her site and RAZ her a little, she can take it=)
