So............

Becca playing outside last time it was friggen hot!

We are gearing up for another couple of pretty hot days here in San Diego. You know, I just want to clarify to those of you who don't live out this way, when they tell you it's 77 and sunny in San Diego, they are talking about the airport, which is right on the bay. We, in Escondido, live no where near the bay. We live in what is referred to as the Inland Valley, and guess what folks, it gets pretty stikin hot out in our parts. So, I'm talking hot, like 99 degrees hot.

With that said, I think it's safe to say that the house will be set at a comfortable 74 all weekend while Becca and Very Pregnant Mommy stay cool indoors. However, since I have a water baby, maybe Becca and I will go dip our toes in the family pool. Whichever, we will just be staying cool!

Oh yeah, I'm about 3 weeks out from going in and havin this kid=) She has been such a good girl and this pregnancy has FLOWN by. These last few weeks are starting to slow down, Mom is getting more and more uncomfortable, but, we press on! I'm still keeping the name on the fence, I just can't decide, but, I promise I will name this little one very soon. I still have like 3 weeks, OK!

There is still lots to do around the house. How is that possible you ask. I've known for 9 months she's coming, right! Well, it never fails to happen and here we are, less than a month away, and a laundry list of to do's. My only saving grace right now is having a Grandma that gave me a house cleaner once a month as a gift. Can I tell you what a blessing that is, to not have to scrub my bathroom floors right now. It makes cleaning out the closet in the baby's room seem like a doable thing! Whoot Whoot to Grandma!

So that's the agenda right now. Ooooo, and maybe, just maybe, if the stars aline, the moon is full and all is right with the universe, I can go get a pedicure for my tired aching feet! Awwww yes, the sweet smell of polish remover and gentle breeze lotion fills my nostrils. That's what I will day dream about today!

Guess What?

We are so excited to announce that Becca and Sissy are going to be cousins to a bouncing baby BOY! That's right! Alicia and Geno are having a little Man! Just think of what this kid will look like. Maybe he'll be the spittin image of Geno with all his red hair and freckles. Or, maybe he'll get Alicia's dark hair and darker skin and be a tall dark and handsome type. Either way, Becca, Grandma and Auntie will have fun shopping and playing with this little one!

Big Bass Weekend!

Just thought i'd get ya'll caught up to speed on a few things. Travis took a trip home to fish in his first Bass Masters Tournament at Lake Falcon in San Antonio with his Dad! Now, they didn't win first prize or anything, even though that was the plan, and was discussed and discussed and discussed and discussed weeks and weeks prior to the tournament. However, they really had a great time trying. Not to mention that the two of them will have many new stories to hash and rehash over the next 20 years or so.

This is the not so little man anymore, Cody. He continues to grow like a weed!!!!! And is very proud of the boat as you can see!
And, Drum roll please.......................................................................
This is Travis's Big O'l Catch of the weekend. This one almost threw him in the water!
Actually, he caught a much bigger 7 pound bass, but was to dang excited to remember a picture for that one, so, it's just going down in history as another fishy tale since this is the only one I have evidence of!

Foot Prints In the Sand

How Precious is this Picutre.

A fun birthday outing

So a few weekends back, my Mom, Sister, Becca and I went out for the Day to celebrate my Mom's Birthday. We had such a fun day!!! It started with lunch at a restaurant in Alpine called Montana Janet's. Now, if you are a lover of the mountains, cabins, pine tree's and Moose, then you would love this restaurant. Obviously that's the theme, but it's a stinkin cute place! Not only did they have good food, but they combined a small shopping town that looked like a little mountain village. I swear, you combine food and shopping and it will be a hit. Does Cracker Barrel come to mind anyone???

So, as I was saying we had a great lunch and then headed out to Summer's Past, one of the most fantastic herb gardens in all of San Diego. They were having a craft fair as well, so we were just hitting the jackpot everywhere we went. So, with the most delicious iced peach tea in hand, we began strolling through the paths and bridges on the grounds. We soon found ourselves in a maze of sweet pea's so we let Becca out of her stroller, and this is what happened.

I'M FREE, YOU FINALLY LET ME OUT!

WAIT, THIS IS DIRT!

I LOVE DIRT!!!!!!

She was a muddy mess at the end, but I don't think we have laughed so hard at her. She was all up in that dirt. I do think we have a little Gardner on our hands. She will make her Grandma very proud one day!

This is so much fun!

Since yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and all, I thought I would post some of the projects that I've been up to lately.

*****DISCLAIMER******* For those of you who are serious papercrafters, I am a BEGINNER, and therefore my techniques are a bit elementry in the grand scheme of things. But this is very addictive, I actually dreamt about a project last night! Scary.
The first two are photo albums that I did for a friend to give as prizes at a Bridal Shower.

These 12x12 pages are some of the first ones I've done since I got married and bought the album I'm putting them in. We sure have alot more going in our lives for me to share than we did four years ago!

BYE!
