Christmas Goodies

Yummy Sugar Scrubs are the best when your skin is all dry from winter weather, so here's my twist that makes for sweet treats and NO GUILT!

Take some brown sugar, white sugar, a few teaspoons of spice and a little essential oil with some olive oil and VIOLA! You have have a Sweet & Spicy Sugar Rub that your body will love.

Add some cute ribbon, and little holiday trim and you are all set.

For added cuteness, I included a fancy red scrubby thingy with mine!

Parades, Cookies and Rain

This weekend was eventful. We decided to dodge the rain drops and head off to the Escondido Christmas Parade. This would be the first time i've gone to this parade and the first christmasy thing we did outside of stuff at home.
The girls were troopers and loved the princesses in the sports cars (aka, Miss Escondido....=) The Marching Bands had Jillian and Jackson enthralled, but Becca spent most of her time with her ears covered. Then the rain really started coming down, so we scooted a little early. That will probably be what Becca remembers the most, getting wet at the parade!
Once we warmed up, we decided that cookies sounded good. Becca loves, loves, loves to help in the Kitchen. "Mommy, what you doing?" She is always asking me. "I help!" as she pulls her little chair up to the counter. So far, we haven't had any real messes, she is a very careful 2 year old! Oh, and the before mentioned skirts that I made. They are so stinking cute on the girls. If I had enough, they would wear skirts and leggings everyday.
After the storm blew over, we got outside for a little fresh air. Jillian was just so thankful! It was a good weekend!

It's that time of year.

Ohh the Christmas Holiday, I love it so much, I'm so glad your here. We are in full swing around here.

I've been very busy getting things ready, shopping, cooking and just trying to be a patient Mom. The tree is up, the kitchen is all chirstmasy and my shopping is almost done. It feels like things are peddle to the metal once Thanksgiving is over. You have to stop and make yourself enjoy the fact that it's Christmas time! The girls have been enjoying the decorations. In fact, Becca has been a big helper with the tree this year. She has done a fantastic job of putting on the candy canes in all the right places. She even yanked a few for her little pink tree without my noticing. She is defiantly my little girl!
I made these cute little skirts for the girls. Trying to break in the new sewing machine.
Pictures with them wearing these darlings, soon to come......
My Christmas wish list is just too long. There are so many wonderful goodies out there right now. I would like one of everything, thank you. I got this cute banner from this gal's fun little shop, and just hung it under this old window I has in my garage. Pretty fun and homey I think.
And I love all my red & white in the kitchen, lots of fun too. I just hung an old tablecloth above the window, I think I might actually officially sew that into a curtain.

And my house hasn't has the Christmas village up in awhile, I thought it was time to bring it out again. I love Dept. 56.

My Budding Little Girl

Some of my fondest memories are of playing pretend with my dolls for HOURS!!! I would make our playroom into a nursery and line the babies up in rows, wrapped like little burritos in blankets. I would read to them, feed them, change diapers and rock them. The beauty was they didn't cry, spit up, poop, pee, fuss, or have opinions. It was so EASY! Ha ha ha. It is so fun to watch Becca doing some of the same things with her dollies. She loves to be a little mommy. I love to be her mommy. She is one of the best things in my life, and even though she isn't a quite little dollie all the time, she is pure joy to me.

Halloween Fun

So Halloween was a hoot. We had a sweet little pumpkin fairy that was ready to trick-or-treat, and a snugly little lady bug that didn't get the whole trick-or-treat thing, but sure liked to get candy in a bucket.

Then there was this cute little chicken that was just all over the place. I think next year he will be very focused on the whole idea of getting candy, so watch out girls!

It was such a fun day, and makes me look forward to next year.

I hope yours was as much fun. Now on to Thanksgiving!!!!!

Some Fall Esentials

I love this time of year. The time of year, that even in California, we get a glimpse of scarves, boots, sweaters and the sound of a football game in the background. I will admit, but please don't tell my husband, I love the sound of a football game on TV. I love being in the kitchen on Sunday afternoon and being able to here the game. It's just home for me. But like I said, don't tell my husband, I don't want him to get any idea's!

Other things that are on my list of goodies,
  1. Headbands. I love them. I love to dress up a simple pony tail, or fancy up my curls. It's just fun. Like this shabby little number here.
  2. Ruffles. I love ruffles. This little ruffle clutch is going to be so fun to carry around. And this ruffle hoodie looks perfect to cuddle up in.
  3. For healing those crabby ol flip flop heals from wearing my havianna's all summer, this stuff works Fantastic!
  4. Gingerbread PJ's for Christmas. I love love love gingerbread anything.
  5. Twilight Woods Lotion. Just go get it!
  6. Sassy Clogs. I want these so bad....(Travis, Christmas, Please)
  7. I'm looking forward to breaking in my newest addition to the family, little Betty. Isn't she Cute! I can't wait to make all kinds of fun things with her.

But most of all, I love my babies. I can't live without them no matter what time of year. I love how brave Jillian is, and her tremendous sense of rhythm, and I love the face Becca makes when I say "say cheese"!

WOW!!!! Where DOES the time go? Things are so bustly and busy lately and it's been literally a month since I posted anything. Life just gets a bit crazy, eay? We had a fun visit from my Aunt and Uncle from Colorado. We spent a day of shopping in Temecula, and I went to visit this fantastic sale at the La Maison Rustique, so much fun! Lots of fun jewelry and hand made goodies.

We've also been eagerly awaiting some fall like weather. These hot hot days just don't feel right. I was very excited to have some seasonally cool weather this weekend, to which we took full advantage! We went to a pumpkin patch both days! I couldn't help myself, I love this weather. Saturday was a pancake breakfast at Nates Butt Farm, and then pumpkin picken, then Sunday, it was off to our local patch on highland valley for wagon rides. I made Chili, baked some cookies, hung some Halloween festiveness and put on socks ya'll! It was a great weekend!

A few weekends back, my life came full circle! I took Becca out on a Saturday night to the Poway Rodeo. I got her all dressed up, Mommy put on her boots and off we went! And there Daddy stood, waving goodbye remembering when it was just he and I taking off in our Saturday night duds. Now it was me taking our baby girl to look at all horsey's, cows and Cowboys! She had the time of her life and if you talk to her now, she will tell you all about it! I'm going to try my hardest to make her a little bit country.

HAPPY FALL YA'LL!

It's my mission

It's my mission in life to accomplish doing this. I want an old camper and I want to join Sisters on the Fly.

If you don't know me, you might say WHHHAAAAT??? But, these sassy ladies take COWGIRL CARAVANS in their cute, re-done campers, all over the country. They fish, horse back ride, cook, tell dirty jokes and drink wine, HELLO!!! No kids, no hubbies, no chores........ I wanna come!

Evetually, I can see sharing this with my girls, or doing it with them when they are of "legal age" and can silly and grown up with me. Maybe this will be a tradition. But first things first, I need to find the camper, then we will go from there!
Wanna join with me?

It's so cute it's killing me!!!!!

Okay, I so want to make one of these play tents. Psst, she also did this as a rocket ship for boys! This goes on top of a TABLE! HELLO, why didn't I think of this!!!!! Look at how cool some of these are......Nothing Fancy did a really sweet one with floral fabric for a rectangular table top, and this one from make it and love it is really fun and girly too.

Now this crafty gal is making them into a busniess, gotta love it. She has some great idea's, plus, you could just buy one from her, but I think it would be fun to pick things out and put one together myself, with help of course!

*********So I'm sending my wishes to all the sewing faires out there that I know*************

My girls just have to get in on this cuteness, They just HAVE TOO!!!!!!

Summer Fun

This summer has been full of new things. I've been re-decorating a house, having fun with my growing girls and finding myself all over again. So I thought it might be good to share some of the things I'm lushing over lately.

1. Etsy!!!!!! Love this site. I can't say that enough. I just got these ADORABLE Boots that will find a sweet home on my shelves, and these beautiful hexes painted on old barn wood and lets not forget to mention this adorable tea towel that has added just a touch of whimsy in the kitchen. I'm stalking this necklace, maybe I can figure out how to make it, but I might just break down and buy the sucker. This lady does an amazing job with felt hair thingys, so so CUTE!

2. My favorite cool-off summer drink! Take a fun glass, fill it with ice, fill that with lime flavored sparkling water(crystal geyser or Arrowhead or something fancy if you prefer), and add one of those "on the go" drink mixes, my favorite flavor is raspberry lemonade, and viola! It's like the Limeades from Sonic!

3. Haviannas flip flops. They are the best!

4. Playing dress up with the girls. Becca loves getting her sister to participate in any and everything. They are so much fun.

5. And, last but not least, DANCING with the girls. We dance ALOT! It's fun, it makes us laugh and it wears us out.

I hope your having a fun summer!

Walkin n'stuff

Awww....Home.

So with all this movin into our new house, I forgot that my pretty babies are growing up before my very eyes. We are getting settled in. Forgive my not-so-great picture taking abilities. They really don't do the house justice, but, you get the idea. There is still alot to do. Who knows, maybe this weekend will be a trip to Home Depot or Bed Bath and Beyond. I don't know if there will be enough time.

What I do know is that my girlie's LOVE their new home!

Jillian decided to start walking during all the upheaval. I think she got tired of watching her sister do everything, so she started getting into her own trouble. I think she spent the last year watching her sister, and now she is going to top everything that Becca has ever done. She's a climber, Becca was not a climber. Oh Boy, falling off the bed will probably be small potatoes. But she's lovin every minute of keeping up with her sister, and I'm loving every minute of watching her.

Becca still gasps every time we pull up our driveway, like it's the first time she's seeing her new home. She can't wait to go see her pink room and get into her big girl bed. She loves being outside and running around like a kid should. She loves that Santa has a fireplace to come down (yes, I antagonize everything Christmas)! She loves to look out the window at the humming birds and the lizards. She just loves being Home..... I love that. And somewhere, in all of this, she has really grown up. She's my Mini Me....

The tatoo is fake, just FYI!
