Squeezing in some crafty time.

So when kiddies are sick, and taking naps, this is what a mommy can do. Having my own little work space has been nice. I can leave things out and just keep going back, and eventually i'll have a little completed project. Cards are a good mindless activity. I can use bits and pieces of things, and not commit myself to screwing up that sweet series of pictures, or momentous occasions. I can also continue to covet my favorite papers and embellishments for that PERFECT project.
Some of my favorite stops to get inspired are lilly bean, scrap scene, and little red cottage, just to name a few. They are chalk full of pretties, idea's idea's idea's and just fun stuff to look at and buy. Scrap Scene is particularly good because there are so many links to really good stuff.

I also am finding myself hanging on to cute little pieces of paper that have cute words or pictures in them, just so that I can re-use them on little goodies like these. See that little house up there, it was on the thank you note that Little Red Cottage wrote me for buying some of her buttons. If you look hard enough, you'll find inspiration everywhere.
Next on my list of things that NEED to get done though, a 1st Birthday Party for a little miss. That will take some creative juice the next few weeks!

Is this healthy?

I'm starting to realize that I have a small obsession with product. Particularly, lip gloss, or just makeup in general. However, I also love lotions, hair product, perfume, polish, just about anything that I can lather or apply.
I mean, this is what is in my purse, as we speak!
Who does this? That's alot of gloss. I mean, I could lacquer up the whole cast at Lips with the arsenal in my purse. Rumpf...... I love them all. I could never single just one out! You can see that my Origins 'pink sand' and my mac luster mini are in a close tie for 1st, but my BareMinerals just joined the group, and I gotta give her a chance too.
Whats a girl to do......
Buy more gloss, that's what!

I wanna soak up the sun......

What a fun little weekend. Alicia and I went to a sweet little shower for our friend April who is getting married in June. It was a breakfast tea, which is a great way to throw a party. Not to early, not to late, it was just right! Sweet little tea cups at every seat, delicious looking pastries and goodies. We caught up with friends we hadn't seen in awhile. I got alot of compliments on my jewelry that I bought from HERE, and my fun little throw all bag from HERE. I told my giriles I'd post some links so you can go browse for yourself.

Sunday was so much fun too. We spent the day soaking up the sun at a pool party for a little man's birthday. I love spending time with those girls. They make me feel comfy and loved. My two little squirts went swimming with their Daddy. Little squirt didn't like it as much a big squirt! But they were sure tuckered out by the end of the day! We talked about all sorts of girlie things. We chatted about everything from babies and teenagers to be, to hair and nails! Speaking of hair, this is my #1 must have summer essential for anyone I know! If I made millions I'd buy you all a bottle of this luscious, ridiculously good smelling oil for you hair! It's the original stuff in the neat apothecary bottle! It makes your hair so soft, protected and loved! It's even good on cuticles. Go get it, you can thank me later!

Even though we ended our fun little weekend with two whopper colds, I think it was still fun. I love seeing my girls smile and having a good time. I hope we have more fun little weekends from now till the end of summer. While it's not my most favorite time of year, it still has some pretty good perks!

Cake, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This series of pictures speak for themselves. I think it's funny that she didn't even care that I was near and taking pictures of her.
She LOVES german chocolate cake at grandma's.
