Twas the Night Before Christmas

WOW, what a crazy fun week we had. Happy 30th to the best Hubby and Daddy there is! And I turned 21, we went out and partied hard till 8pm!

Becca and Jillian had a great christmas with all the trimmings. We had a quiet family eve at home. Jilly and Becca unwrapped just one gift, and then it was off to bed for Santa to come.

The next morning, Santa did not disappoint. We had trains, puzzels, and many more wonderful things under the tree. All in all, it was a great day that was topped off at Grandma's and Grandpa's for more gifts, and Chirstmas Bran Muffins (A holiday tradition).
I'm not ready to put the tree away just yet. That will come later on this week when I just can't push it off any longer.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Getting Caught Up Chapter 3

My little sweet, precious angel tuned 6 months old. We had to celebrate with cake, ballons, family and silliness. Momma's Big Girl!

Getting Caught Up Chapter 2

This was Thanksgiving. We had Dancing Becca's, a Deep Fried Turkey, Paparazzi Uncle Bob, Sleeping Babies during the football game, Babies Looking oh so cute and the feast! What a day!

Getting Caught Up Chapter 1

This was Halloween. Jillian was many different things. She was a little Kitten, a pumpkin, and A GREAT BIG PEACOCK! She was fun to dress up, I think she thought it was funny because I kept laughing at her the whole time. She just got cuter and cuter.

Becca was a serious Tinker Bell. I swear. This kid get self concious in anything out of the norm. It's like she knows that I'm dressing her up and that she looks and feels different, and she doesn't like it! But, like a true girl, once she gets going she fine, and then, at the end of the day she doesn't want to get out of the darn thing!

The Girls enjoyed a Harvest Festivle at our church and then Becca and Daddy passed out candy, and yes, Becca really did put candy in the kids bags. She was only affraid of one costume. You little social bug, she takes after her dad on that one!

Thanksgiving is NEXT Thursday?

I've been inspired by a fellow Lister. Yes, yes, lists are a fact of life in my household or things just wouldn't get done. And I agree, there is a feel good something about being able to scratch through something on your list. Something Momentous about scratching through a list of tasks.

My life is a whirl wind. Between the Girls, Travis, Work, Thanksgiving and Christmas, not to mention Halloween which I Still haven't posted pictures of, I would be dead without my lists.

I actually carry with me a little spiral notebook that I write things down in. It's one of my many necessities that I carry in my purse of a traveling office. Now that's a fun list to think about. At this very moment, here are a few things I have in my purse right now. Sunglasses (a must), bottle of hair spray, box a BOX of checks, previously mentioned spiral notebook, lotion, small cosmetic pouch with, wait let me count, 11 lip glosses of some kind, Michel's Ad(with coupon), calender, gum(sweet mint my fav) and a variety of loose papers that are important in some way or another.

But, back to the notebook, I have a few hundred things to get accomplished right now.

Some of the more important things are finishing my Christmas Craft. I took a small hiatus from this time honored tradition and I'm so happy it has found it's way back into my life. Simple as it will sound, I'm making the old favorite....Paper Garlands. The are precious, kid friendly and have that nostalgic look to them. The will adorn my Christmas tree and be a festive entrance into my kitchen.
Psst.......WalMart has the cutest Martha Stewart Craft Paper and embellishments. You should REALLY go and check it out, weather you like that store or not, because it's really Fun=)

Then there are things like the gifts I'm making, the cookies I'm baking and the gingerbread house I'm decorating. GOOD THING I GET A FEW WEEKS OFF!

Oh yhea, and I'm in charge of a few things at Thanksgiving. It's important to have some of the 'Classics' at the dinner table. One that I will be in charge of is.........drum roll please..................... Candied Yams. They are my favorite, and I wouldn't be very Holidayish with out it! I'll also be trying out a Sweet Potato recipe for the first time, we have alot of folks, we need alot of stuff.

So even though this life is hectic, it's good. I'm happy, I'm feeling the Christmas spirit and I'm ready to Deck My Halls.

The many faces of Becca

This one is I'm deep in thought, or, I have an idea and I'm thinking about how I want to execute that idea. I usually see this calm expression right before she runs to the fridge for d-waa d-waa (Milk), why that is milk I don't know. This may also be the look right before she brings me the 'mote' (remote) to change the TV to her cartoon. What ever the case may be, it is hard to tell this face no.

This face speeks for itself. She is a ham and keeps us in stiches all the time.
This one is I hear you and I'm going to not respond. Soemtimes it drives me crazy and makes me realize what I will be in for as she gets older. Becca, Becca, Becca, oh geeeeeza, never mind.

Becca..Becca....BECCA! Look at the Camera

This is our fun little trip to Nates Butt Farm, Nuts Bate Farm, I mean Bates Nut Farm. We picked out pumpkins and ran amuck. It started to sprinkle a little bit, which was kinda fun. So we ended the day eating chili and corn bread. Yum.
